Sisyphos

Sisyphos is Berlin's answer to the question of what happens when you turn a festival ground into a permanent club. Spread across the site of a former dog biscuit factory in Rummelsburg, the sprawling grounds feature multiple floors, outdoor areas, a sandy beach, fire pits, and countless artistically decorated corners. Anyone visiting should bring plenty of time - a short visit does not do this place justice.

The main season runs from spring to autumn, when the outdoor areas are fully active. In winter, the action concentrates on the indoor floors, which have their own distinct charm. Musically, Sisyphos covers a wide spectrum: from deep techno and melodic house to psytrance and live bands, the various floors offer something for everyone. The atmosphere is exuberant, colourful, and noticeably more bohemian than the minimalist techno bunkers elsewhere in the city.

Doors open on Fridays from 22:00, and the operation typically runs continuously until Monday morning around 8:00. Entry is affordable at 10 to 15 euros. Food and drinks are also budget-friendly, with several food stalls across the grounds. Sisyphos is best reached by S-Bahn to Rummelsburg, followed by roughly a ten-minute walk. Cash only.
