Wilde Renate
Wilde Renate is not an ordinary club but an adventure. Inside a former apartment building on the banks of the Spree, a labyrinthine structure of dance floors, winding corridors, secret rooms, and whimsical installations stretches across multiple storeys. Each room has its own character - from a mirrored disco cave to a converted bathroom to a rooftop terrace overlooking the Spree. Anyone who visits once is guaranteed not to have discovered everything.
Musically, Wilde Renate offers a pleasant mixture of house, techno, and electronic styles that are more accessible than the harder sounds found in other Berlin clubs. The crowd is correspondingly diverse: Berlin regulars dance alongside curious tourists, creatives beside students. The mood is consistently friendly and open, making this venue a solid entry point for Berlin newcomers.
The club opens Thursday through Sunday, with weekend nights being the main events. Entry runs at roughly 10 to 15 euros. The door policy exists but is not intimidating - behave yourself and avoid showing up in a group of ten, and your chances are good. In summer, the garden is an absolute highlight. The nearest S-Bahn station is Treptower Park, roughly a ten-minute walk from there. Cash only.
