Sonderbar

Sonderbar occupies the space on Untere Strasse that older Heidelberg residents will remember as Pinte, a beloved rock bar that was a staple of the Altstadt nightlife for years. The rebranded venue carries forward much of that rock-and-roll DNA while adding a sharply curated gin menu that gives the bar a second identity. The combination works surprisingly well — the soundtrack stays heavy, the lighting stays dim, and the gin selection gives those who want more than beer a reason to explore.

The interior is compact and atmospheric, with dark walls, band posters, and the kind of lived-in character that cannot be manufactured.
