Descending the stairs into the Whisky Dungeon feels like stepping into a well-kept secret. Tucked away in a vaulted cellar beneath Münster's old town, this bar stocks over 450 different whiskies from around the world while maintaining an atmosphere that hovers between cozy cave and rock pub.

The Selection

The whisky menu reads like an atlas of distilleries. From Scottish single malts and Irish pot stills to Japanese rarities and American bourbons, every palate will find something to savor. The staff are highly knowledgeable and happy to offer recommendations without ever being condescending.

Atmosphere

The vaulted ceiling creates naturally dampened acoustics that make conversation effortless. The decor plays with the dungeon theme without tipping into kitsch. The speakers deliver rock in various shades, from classic rock to heavier fare. Lighting is kept intentionally dim.
